cos if you don’t pretty woman
your gonna wander away from here.
It aint the same

that’s the way it’s meant to be
Chorus
Wandrin’ woman
I’m gonna call you ramblin’ Rose
One things for certain
you’ll keep a rambler on his toes.

Mudslide
04:33
|
|||
When I was a young boy
‘bout the age of five
It came on the news
early one night
that near by
another school from mine
abomination came
and from it no one could hide
There was a mudslide
suddely came down
from all things bright and beautiful
into a long dark rainy night
That mudslide
That mudslide it came
it came like a wave
from the mountain side
of deadly grey
them parents dug
with their finger nails
and with a limp bible
that minister he did pray
There was a mudslide
suddenly came down
From all things bright and beautiful
into a long dark rainy night
That mudslide
everybody cried
No one saw it coming
everybody heard the noise
a deep dark rumbling sound
then all was dark and quiet
116 children died
In that mudslide

Just run out of time
03:45
|
|||
Woke up this morning
I planned a lovely day
I was to, go down the town
to spend some of my pay
But I got caught up in housework
and it started to rain
so I cleaned the house
and I didn’t spend a dime
When I looked at the clock I found I’d
Just run out of time
Just run out of time
I have just run out of time
I said to my baby
That I still love you
she said, ‘don’t be a fool man
it’s a quarter to three’
She said ‘ask me later
about half past nine’
I said, ‘that be too late baby,
I’ll have had far too much wine
and by the time we try to do it
we’ll have
just run out of time’
Chorus
When I was young,
I dreamed of glory
making my mark
upon the human story
so I practiced my art
‘till almost perfect
but I didn’t go out
and practice on the circuit
then all of a sudden
I started to pine
I had wasted my talent and
just run out of time
Chorus

I hope it rains
03:57
|
|||
I hope it rains, I hope it rains
every other day, from now until then
I built you garden
I built it with love
I had to be near you
Heavens above
I talked to you constantly
as I walked away from you
I had to believe
you could see my attempt to
make something special for you
I had to believe I had to believe
that you could see
I hope it rains, I hope it rains
every other day
from now until then
I laid some stones
It looked just like a bed
There were flowers at your feet
and more at your head
I talked to you constantly
as I walked away from you
I had to return to tend
your garden again
I hope it rains
every other day
If rain doesn’t come
the flowers will die
and next to your body
my heart will lie
I hope it rains
I hope it rains
Pitter patter on your grave

Sick and die
03:32
|
|||
I’m gonna get sick and die one of these days
I’m gonna get sick and die one of these days
I’m gonna get sick and die
don’t one of you out there cry
cos I’m gonna get sick and die one of these days
I might not want to let go when it comes
I might not want to let go when it comes
I might not want to let go
It don’t matter cos I told you so
I’m gonna get sick and die one of these days
I’m gonna make the most of every day
I’m gonna make the most of every day
I’m gonna make the most of life
gonna be good to my wife
Cos I’m gonna get sick and die one of these days

I can do my laundry
03:39
|
|||
You don’t have to do my laundry baby
just show me how to use that machine,
you don’t have to do my laundry baby
just show me how to use hat machine
I can throw a switch like any man
you don’t have to treat me so mean.
I can do my own laundry baby
I can do it any time
I can do my own laundry
I can hang it on the line
I don’t need a slave now honey
I just want you to be mine
I can cook my own food
I can read a book like any man
and I can use a pot to cook with
I can make food seem like lots of fun
I can do my own tea girl
I don’t need your help on this one
Chorus
Baby I can clean the house
I can use the hoover to
I can put the bleach down baby
and I can make tea for two
I can make up your bed
and I can lay down your pretty head
I can make love to you little girl
Come on baby listen to me

Silvery moon
05:08
|
|||
All the little creatures, living in the wood,
everybody happy, trying to be good
Badgers on the ginger beer
and ratty’s on the weed
Crow is flying higher
than the shuttle ever did,
the oakwood’s giving way
to a blood red poppy field
and the snakes took all the money to
waste upon themselves.
But that’s alright, everythings cool,
the animals are dancing
by the light of the silvery moon
The bluebells are late this year
the ground is in a mood
and the stream has lost it’s sparkle
cos the trout are out of food
doe are fighting deer
and the rabbits on the run
the bats have left their roost
and fled towards the sun
owl has lost his memory
and flown into a tree
He’s lying with a headache
saying ‘what will be will be'
That’s alright, everythings cool,
the animals are dancing
by the light of the silvery moon

Drinking all night
04:09
|
|||
I went into this beer tavern
Called the Dynyfor Arms
It’s a place of many pleasures
and a place of many charms
It’s just down the road
not far to travel from
but the best thing about that tavern is
they never send you home
We were drinking all night
Don’t wanna see the sun rise
We were drinking all night
I went to the bar tender
said Simon do you have wine
he said Frankie what ever you want,
we have it in your size
So I picked up my drink
and sat down with my friends
when the band started playing
I didn’t want it to end
Chorus
I went into this ber tavern
that’s where I want to be
It’s nice and warm and cosy
and full of memories
It’s where I met my baby
on a balmy summers eve
It’s there she said she loved me
and that we’d always be.
Chorus

Sycamore tree
05:34
|
|||
I’ve been standing in the rain
under this sycamore tree
Standing in the rain
Under this sycamore tree
I’m gonna ask my lonesome mother
mama have pity on me
I saw that mist was rising
By that old tree line
yes I saw that mist was rising
by the old tree line
at the bottom of that mountain
that watches over me and mine
Chorus
We sat down at the station
by that old railway line
yes we sat down at the station
by that old railway line
when you told me you was leaving
I wrg my hands and cried
Chorus
Well i know that time’s a healer
but you aint ever coming back
yest I know that times a hero
but you aint ever coming back
I know you said you’d send for me
but I don’t like the railway track
Chorus
