This song was written by Frankie Williams. Frankie is from a village in South Wales called Taffs Well which is a short distance from another village called Aberfan which in 1966 suffered the most appalling disaster in which 116 primary school children were killed when a 'coal spoil tip' slid down the mountain side and engulfed Pant Glas School. 'Mudslide' is Frankie's telling of this tragic story is from the point of view of a child in a nearby school traumatised by the incident. 'Mudslide' has been nominated in the 'best song' category of the 2012 British Blues Awards.
