Apparently this song is about madness, 'the animals are crazy by the light of the silvery moon'. Using the characters from a long forgotten British children's TV show, 'Tales of the riverbank', this grooving romp is musically jazzy, lyrically both light and satirical.

All the little creatures, living in the wood,
everybody happy, trying to be good
Badgers on the ginger beer
and ratty’s on the weed
Crow is flying higher
than the shuttle ever did,
the oakwood’s giving way
to a blood red poppy field
and the snakes took all the money to
waste upon themselves.

But that’s alright, everythings cool,
the animals are dancing
by the light of the silvery moon

The bluebells are late this year
the ground is in a mood
and the stream has lost it’s sparkle
cos the trout are out of food
doe are fighting deer
and the rabbits on the run
the bats have left their roost
and fled towards the sun
owl has lost his memory
and flown into a tree
He’s lying with a headache
saying ‘what will be will be'
